About this route
This is the classic surf-to-mountains leg: you leave a fishing village at sea level and end the day at 1,200 m in coffee country, where you will want a sweater for the first time in Panama. The van climbs out of Veraguas, joins the Pan-American at Soná, and turns uphill after David into the Chiriquí highlands.
