Post Tags: Panama, Boquete, Bocas del toro, how to get there
By Public Bus:
The cheapest way to get to Bocas del Toro from Boquete is by public bus. You will first need to take a bus from Boquete (the main park) to David, the bus leaves every 30 minutes until 7pm and costs around $1.75, it takes around 1 hour to get to David. Once you arrive in David you need to take another bus from the bus terminal to Almirante which costs around $8pp. After you arrive in Almirante you need to take a taxi boat to Bocas Town, this boat only takes 30 minutes and costs around $6pp. Keep in mind that the last boat from Almirante leaves at 6pm, if you arrive after 6pm you will be stranded until the next day in Almirante.
If you have a car:
If you are traveling by car, you can drive from Boquete to Almirante. You can either park your car in a private parking in Almirante or cross with your car to Bocas, the second option is, of course, more expensive and crossing by ferry is has limited hours, additionally there are not many places to park your car in Bocas besides the street, unless you plan to stay in Bocas for a while is better to leave your car in Almirante.
By Private Shuttle:
A faster and more convenient option is to take one of our private shuttles directly from your hostel in Boquete to Bocas Town. You can book your shuttle from Boquete to Bocas online, specify your pick-up location and our driver will pick you up from your hotel at around 8am.
